BAD DAYS
Everyone at work is really wound up tight about how bad our days our getting. Monday it was a ghost town. Sure, somehow we managed to make the day, but at times it seemed like we barely would and there definitely was not enough money to go around. It makes me a little more nervous than most I think because I sell less than they do.
Sure I get a salary but after taxes it is not much and honestly, that salary is simply paying me for the time I do not get to sell. Just the other day I was helping a guy looking for new dress shoes. He was a
San Francisco Bankruptcy Attorney
and said the economy was falling quick. Sure business has picked up for him, but at the same time he knows it is not the fault of the people he sees these days and he feels for them. It turns out that he was a stock holder in Nordstrom as well and told me that even though we are down from last year, we are still beating out the rest of the competition, so that is something to be thankful for. I also happened to mention how the managers do not have it any easier because of the salary and he agreed, which I also believe helped me get the sale.
