As a freelance writer, I seldom go into the office of the magazine that I write for. From time to time I like to make an appearance in there, and see what is going on. One of my best friends is the editor of the magazine, so we usually futz around the office for a while. The last time I was there, there was a power outage. Everyone in the office was freaking out about losing the work they had been doing. My friend had to tell them how to go into the emergency recovery system to get their work back. When I am in the office I also like to go and sort through all of the junk that the magazine gets sent. Sometimes it is really funny, like a whole bladder that you can fill with beer called the Beer Belly. Other times I find CDs for bands that I like or sometimes it is for bands that I have never even heard of before. I like listening to new bands and finding new music. I will usually give the band a few songs before I decide if I like them or not. After that it is on to the next one.
