Our garden is really growing nicely this year.  There are all kinds of vegetables that are growing in abundance.  We are going to have to start canning our tomatoes pretty soon.  It’s a good thing we all love tomatoes and eat quite a bit of them each day.  We also have squash and string beans, even some watermelons.  My little friend who comes to visit from time to time always has another suggestion about how to keep our garden healthy and pest free without using pesticides.  She comes ready to help with the weeds, outfitted in her favorite Detriot Pistons t-shirt and ball cap, which she wears because people will ask her why she wears this particular t-shirt if she does not live in Detroit.  This is her way of practicing her sales pitch, you see.  She is bound and determined that her first business is going to be selling t-shirts with logos on the front.  She is always looking for new phrases to have put on her t-shirts.  She has all the basketball teams and most of the footballs team t-shirts already, and her brother is helping her market them over the Internet.  She is all of eight years old.
