MAKING A BIRDHOUSE

I still haven’t come up with any ideas to tell Granddad when I go over tomorrow.  Rachel and I are going to paint the birdhouse we made.  We still have a few finishing touches to add, and it should be done.  We are going to paint it a shiny color to attack the birds to our backyard.  We are going to have to watch out for Millie though.  She is a very slinky cat, who is liable to pounce on an unsuspecting bird.  She loves to climb the tree and sit on the branches that overhand the birdhouse.  She sits there and watches them as they feed.  We would really have a disaster if Millie figures out how to get onto the birdbath and hope that we really will have a disaster recovery plan in order if that ever happens.  Sometimes we watch in fascination at how Millie sits on that branch, seemingly ready to pounce at any moment.  She has jumped from the tree to the roof of the garage, right over the bird feeder.  Bird flew away and didn’t come back for a long time.  We finally gave up and went inside to talk to Grandma about what smelled so darn good.
