TOUGHING IT OUT
meant big problems. Now that we were back in the US we had some time to consider our options. They were limited. We had just three. The first thing we could do was the most positive, but the most difficult. We could take the extra capacity that we had and go looking to expand the business to meet it. This would mean hiring on an additional sales person or two or a manufacturers representative firm. We would probably go with the latter as it would be cheaper. We were in trouble no matter how you looked at it. The second option was to try to tough it out by firing all the new hires and cutting back on other things in the company. This wouldn't be enough, was the thoughts of most. A third option was to restructure our debts. We would probably do this, then take the first consideration and go and look to find additional business. I was going to have to resign. The board agreed to this, as the company would never be able to have a successful filing if I were still onboard.
