SHARKS AND SNAKES
I guess that all lawyers aren’t sharks or snakes in the grass. I don’t really know where I had gotten that impression from, but its how I’ve always felt. I thought that it was the lawyers and used car salesman of the world that were bringing down our society. So, when I got myself into some financial trouble that I couldn’t work my way out of on my own, and had no other option but consulting with a Green Bay bankruptcy attorney I thought for sure that I was in for a negative experience. Much to my surprise, the representative of the firm genuinely seemed interested in helping me. He carefully reviewed all of my paperwork and asked several questions about my past and current financial situations. At the end of our ninety-plus minute encounter, he actually recommended that I try a non profit credit counseling service rather than filing for bankruptcy. He even had a company that he suggested, he told me that the customer service there was top notch and that if anyone could keep me from having to file, it would be the people from that service. I couldn’t believe it, he had a perfect opportunity to take my business and my money, but he recommended a better alternative for me that left him walking away with nothing from our meeting. Maybe I’ll have to start rethinking my opinion of people in the legal field.
