SPENDING MY WEEKEND

Visiting with a lawyer to review Sacramento bankruptcy laws definitely isn't how I planned on spending my weekend. I had to cancel the shopping plans I'd made with my friends. I decided I'm going to stop spending money I don't have. I'm happy to say that I'm finally taking a step in the right direction, though. I knew I couldn't keep procrastinating on this decision. I needed to talk to a professional about this for a long while now. My friends are going to have to make some adjustments. I know they're not going to take the news very well because I was always the one in the group who would pay for almost everything. They assumed that I didn't carry any debts because I have such a high salary, but I never told them how many things at work have changed lately. Some of my most reliable clients unexpectedly withdrew their support. It literally cost us thousands. I'd foolishly spent the money before I had it. I assumed it was ours, but several of them wound up liking some other company's ideas better. I think my friends would be shocked if they knew how many expenses I let accumulate. I've been in a bad cycle of spending my money like that for years. It's time to put an end to it!
